This section of my website is dedicated to swifts. I have long been fascinated by swifts and in June 2001 when my wife and I bought our first house in Westwood, Wiltshire I had an ideal opportunity to attract them to nest on our house. This allowed me to study swifts in great detail and make sketches of their various flight attitudes throughout the summer. Sketching swifts is a great challenge which accompanies my interest in painting cloud formations, so putting up the swift nest boxes has spawned a whole new series of paintings
